The best golf courses
These five course are my personal favourites they can be argued but you cant argue with the amazing quality of these courses. Get those electric golf trolleys ready, here come the best of the best.
5. At number five- Shinecock Hills
A stunning course that has hosted four US opens so far. A very challenging course indeed you will struggle to make your handicap on this one. First designed in 1891 and remodelled in 1930 little has changed since then proving it to be course with very little faults indeed.
4. St Andrews (old)
This is more than likely the oldest golf course in the world with golf rumoured to have been played here way back in the 12th century. Although this course is the home of golf it apprently doesnt treat newcomers very well. It is a course that you have to get to know and love before you actually enjoy playing here.
3. Cypress point golf club is number 3
the vast majority of people will never get a chance to play on this course as it only has 250 members but the last few holes have been called the best in golf. I have never actually played this course so I have no idea how well it plays but it certainly had to come into the top five.
2. Royal County Down is number two
This course is the best course in the UK hands down and was designed wback in 1889 with major works done to it in 1908. Some of my best golf was played on this course with my brilliant birdie on hole 6 which is partly why it is at the number two slot.
1.Number one is the fantastic Pine Valley
It had to be the number one slot purely because it is the most stunning course I have ever seen in my life. The course itself is brilliant with only one thing i suggest avoiding and that is the 10ft bunker containing no sand to get out with! Get it in there and you are stuffed.
There you have it my personal favourite top five course in the world. No need to charge up those golf batteries when you have the caddies at these places to drag your clubs around for you.
