Give Me What You’re Eating Posts On Twitter Over Kim Kardashian Any Day
I must talk about a major situation…one which is discussed often online and with a great deal of debate. This has effects on everyone who partcipates in social media marketing online and has far reaching ramifications (Ramifications! Wow!)…
Updating a person’s Facebook Wall and Twitter stream on what you’re currently eating.
So there. I spilled it.
I realize several of you reading this article right now have to be thinking ‘Darn…Kenny truly did it! He really brought it out in the open!’ It must be said….and it should be addressed.
I will get straight to the point. I support and recommend that anyone on Social Websites to constantly Facebook and Tweet what you’re eating and drinking…pretty much constantly.
We already notice a whole lot of proof of this on-line. Let me show you the reason why it is so crucial.
We all try to eat several times daily. Many eat as much as 5-6 times each day. A handful actually 10-20! (darn you go…but save some for all of us ok??) Which means that it is undoubtedly something which everyone does a whole lot of. We also update our Wall on Facebook and Tweet frequently as well. Some more than other folks I’m sure and some update a lot more than they eat.
For that reason doesn’t it make sense to mix the two?
Ever since the beginning of time we’ve bragged about what we had for dinner the night before at the office the following day. Wow, I had some rockin’ Tortellini the other day along with some insane buttery garlic bread!” Utilizing Social Websites these days we are now far more ‘immediate’ concerning it.
Real time. Real eating.
Honestly, as you look at it, I believe that’s what Social Media was devised for. Because it sure ain’t any good for marketing! *wink*
I don’t know about any of you, but now I’m at the stage where I check out my Facebook and twitter for just what folks are eating as well as what fabulous drinks they’re enjoying. I’m done with the Tweets on Forex, quotes by Confucius and how much Kim Kardashian loves us and her high heel shoes.
Speaking of Miss Kardashian (she’s not gotten married right? I can’t keep up), I think she has to step-up her #tweetingwhatsheseating. I KNOW she eats! Right??
NOTE: We need to relabel Twitter ‘Kim Kardashian On Twitter‘. I assume all 200 Gazillion people follow her.
But I digress (been waiting to use that line for awhile…)
Give me a roast beef and provolone along with a Heineken Tweet any day…and preferably with a photo.
Which reminds me: Photos with the updates are a must! You want to look at what everyone is enjoying, correct? That needs to be 50% of one’s updates whenever possible.
Now on to the detractors, or what I call the ‘online food downers’. (I haven’t made up a more suitable catchphrase than that which means that ideas are welcome in the comments below!)
We all know who these people are. They grumble on the internet regularly regarding the…well…updates on food.
‘If I read one more Tweet on what you ate for lunch I’m deleting you blah blah…’
Oh really? So you’re so offended by my lunch you must delete me? So inconvenienced that I’ve blocked your stream (yuk!) that you’ll miss out on that important update on the newest Twitter spamming software program?
Well find a frickin’ life Mr. ‘You could make 197 grand on Twitter beginning today because everyone knows you’re pounding down a Foot Long Sub and washing it down with a Yoohoo with the $8.54 you really made!
So there it is. Just like the title implies, I make absolutely no apologies for my #tweetingwhatimeating and I intend to even step it up several notches, as well as on my blog set up page.
And it’s time that 1…everyone admit that we love to eat more than we’ll ever fess up to and need everyone to see it constantly and 2…acknowledge that this is the Real reason Social Websites was invented.
