CBDP, some folks around these parts started making room in the trophy case for all the Lombardis the minute Manning was signed. Mentioning that they still, ya know, have to play the games first kinda bursts their bubble. I guess what some folks don't get is Elway went all in with Manning. He blew up his rebuilding plan to win now, then that draft was kind of a head scratcher to say the least. The only, ONLY way he will be labeled a "genius" is if like you said Manning delivers a SB to Denver. If not, then you're right, Osweiler better deliver one very shortly after he takes over. If Manning wins a SB and then Osweiler is an average or mediocre pro, Elway will be forgiven for the Osweiler pick. If Manning DOESN'T win a SB AND Osweiler is a mediocre or average pro, I think there *should* be heck to pay. It will be looked at like Elway putting off 4 or 5 years of rebuilding for instant gratification that blew up in his face. Then this franchise will be right back where it was in 2012.
