The reality of it is that, not so long ago shopping for plus sized coats was a challenge because there weren’t very many fashion choices available. One thing to think about is does this coat give you room to breath? Make sure you try on the coats you are thinking of buying. Button or zip them all the way up and see how well they feel (or don’t feel) against your torso when you try to do things like move your arms or sit down. How about your local climate where you live? Do you need to wear a heavy winter coat? If there are monsoon conditions, slight joking, then you’ll need to think about material is has some waterproof properties to it.
