This specific tablet earns props because of its many strengths, such as its addition of both a USB port plus a microSD Card slot, its support for Dolby Cell audio, and its custom home screen widgets that help organize applications.
The Acer Iconia Tab A500-10s16u may be the largest of the three tablets that Acer has already introduced. The model tested this is Wi-Fi-only and carries your designation A500-10S16u. A 3G-enabled version can be coming on AT&T.
Your tablet feels solidly stated in other ways. The buttons and ports are logically situated. The volume rocker as well as the rotation lock running across the right edge near the top are distinctively contoured and simple to press. Likewise, the power/sleep button is easily purchased at the upper right nook, and conveniently glows an unobtrusive, alternating red and white while charging. Even the flap that pulls out from the`out of your right side to expose the microSDHC card slot (and the SIM card slot on other models in the A500 series that support 3G) feels durable.
When held within the landscape orientation, the tablet has its power and headphone jacks with the left edge, toward the top; Micro-HDMI output along {the|the actual|the particular|your} left edge, at the bottom; and a micro-USB interface for tethered data transfers plus a USB-A port at the bottom right edge. Along the top is the flap protecting the microSDHC credit card slot, and at bottom could be the obtrusively bulky dock connector (the dock is surely an optional $80 accessory that includes an IR remote control).
The built-in cameras tend to be, spec-wise, among the better tablet cameras: The Iconia Tab has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera along with flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera (on the upper right corner, below where the energy button sits) for video chat
